Another crazy day with Lucas

Every Monday morning Home Health Care Nurse take blood labs from Lucas. Two out the three times we have been home something in the blood has been bad. This week we were told his blood sugar was too low. We needed to get it rechecked immediately. The doctor's office was closed for the day, and after hour clinic did not want to see us. After much negotiating they agreed to let us see a doctor. After seeing the doctor he informed me they do not take blood in the office and sent me to the Emergency Room. The ER sent me to the after hours lab. The Lab wanted to take the blood from his PICC line but was not allowed to. They sent me up to Pediatrics in the hospital. They could not do it either and called the Charge Nurse over the Hospital. He then talked to NICU who said they can't draw from PICC lines, which is how Home health care does it every week. They then poked his heal anyway. Our 10 sec. needle prick took 5 hours! After which the hospital had no record of us being their. By the way His blood was fine!
