Lucas has a blood infection similar to E coli. He needed to get his Picc line replaced, they weren't able to do this at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center so they transferred him up to Primary Children's Hospital. We had a consult with the GI Doctor while up there. He was not helpful in treating Lucas, so we had a backup plan to go elsewhere. After talking with the Pedestrian and GI Doctor, we are making arrangements to possibly go to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. The Infectious Disease Doctor told us his infection looks good. He also stated his liver enzyme where high, resulting from being on TPN.
We are having a fast Sunday 13th, to see if we are making the right choice in his care.
