Lukie's star raising Party!

Utah Make-A-Wish building is one of only 5 in the country.  It is a very special place.  Every child that makes a wish is able to raise their own star in the building so there will always be a part of them there.  For this event they have a special star raising party.  Family, friends, nurses, and doctors are invited to attend.  Lukie's wish granters worked hard on making this night special for the whole family.  They decided on a Toy Story/ Woody/ Western theme.  They went above and beyond to make every detail special.  We are thankful to them and all of those who work for Make-A-Wish on making Lukie's wish come true.  Words can not express how thankful we are for the wonderful memories they have created for our family.  Thank you!!!!

Every Kid receives a scrapbook page.  The scrapbooks stay at Make-A-Wish for families to look at.

 A friend of Lukie's wish granter loaned all of the cowboy decoration.  He heard about Lukie and wanted to give Lukie his cowboy hat  that was his when he was a little boy.  I thought this was really thoughtful and sweet.  I tried our best to get a picture of him wearing the hat, but Luke was in a silly mood.  This is about the best we got!

 This was a really special moment.  Lukie got to raise his star himself.  You can see from his big smile how excited he was!!
